Whether you’re planning to explore a new interest, hobby or pastime, perhaps a day out, a few hours to escape or just looking to make the most of your leisure time, we aim to provide you with a great place to start your journey!

With the constant bombardment of daily negative news you could easily come to the conclusion there is nothing much left that’s good about Britain anymore. We think different!
There are literally thousands of ways we can spend our leisure time these days, from the thrill seeking to the serene. From opportunities to help others through to exploring and pushing the boundaries of our physical and mental capabilities. Never has there been so much opportunity to choose how we spend our time outside of work.

Wonderful Britain was born out of the idea that the choice and diversity of opportunity is worth celebrating, and worth helping, encouraging and inspiring those that want to do more, to try something different, or just make the most of what is available.

Our ‘motto’ is straightforward - Wonderful Britain – It’s what we make it!

Our websites and community are at their early stages, our hope and aspiration is that people who have an experience, hobby or interest will be prepared to share just some of the fun, the skill and the benefits to all those thinking, looking or participating in something new to do.

Ways you can get involved

If you want to encourage others to try something new then here are three ways to get involved:-

• Tell people about your place – whether it’s a club, organisation, business, attraction or activity. Enter your details into our great ‘Places’ section and raise awareness of what you offer. Don’t just focus on what you have, but let them know how they can experience, enjoy or appreciate what you have to offer.

• Promote your activities, workshops, classes, events, shows, displays, festivals and talks, or book launches through our events section. Remember if they don’t know about it they can’t attend.

• If you’ve got a story to tell, an experience or tip to share, then we have a number of opportunities to communicate this…
  • With our blog we are planning regular comments, reviews interviews and commentary on the leisure and pleasure scene, so you can submit them to us for possible inclusion
  • Through the members section of the community. Join and share your ideas, photos, videos, discuss them in the forums and with other members.
  • Do you have a new, innovative or perhaps unusual way to engage people in activities which provide a useful, enjoyable or fulfilling experience. Then you can submit the details to us via our contacts page for consideration in our ‘Stuff To Do’ area
